Debbie studied ceramics at Bath Academy of Art in the 1980’s and then went to work in conservation and restoration in London. After setting up a studio in Nottingham, she developed an interest in papier mache and other forms of recycling such as rag rugging.

Debbie started running workshops whilst being artist in residence at Nottingham University, and enjoys passing on her wide ranging knowledge of the history of crafts, passion for materials and expertise in many techniques. She finds this an ideal way to encourage creativity, both for individuals and groups.
